Australia's new Twenty20 uniform

Whoops, the Twenty20 tournament starts in less than 2 weeks - that creeped up on me! And Australia are launching yet another uniform - with so many different versions of the game now, they're changing clothes more often than Princess Diana did. And at the risk of sounding like a purist with a stick up his butt, I don't like it. With the sleeveless design and the increasing trend away from the green and gold look, it comes across more like a training uniform.

Maybe it's Australia's way of saying they're not taking the Twenty20 tournament that seriously. After all, they enter every Twenty20 international uttering disclaimers about taking it lightly and just having fun - just in case they lose.

They look like netball tops. :(

Nobody wants to play goal defense.

Well , actually...I find the new uniforms nice, to be honest. I mean, it is the first sleeveless cricket top so I guess Australia will make history for the first ever sleeveless cricket uniform.

Even though "cricket" isn't netball/basketball it is quite creative for cricket.

(I just wish the colour was green and gold, though) GO THE GREEN AND GOLD!!! :)

Sleeveless tops - what next, shorty shorts?

The best thing about playing Australians is that you will always look better than them. Unless you're German.

*sigh* It's a shame Warne retired...

even i din like that idea...cricket shud be pristine man...but may be they try 2 find something interesting on the field for the sheer lack of competition...:)

Why is it every new uniform involves a blonde cricketer, who spends more time in the gym than he does working on his outswinger.

Uncle J, I'm with you - why they don't use Darren Lehmann as the official Cricket Australia model is beyond me.

Anyone know if the Twenty20 WC is on telly?

Yeah, it is but pretty late in the night/early morning, though. There's a game tonight, Australia vs Zimbabwe 2:00am and there's also one on Friday, Australia vs England 10:20pm. Let's just hope that the Aussies win! C'mon the Aussies!
