India vs Australia, 3rd Test, Day 4

Day 3 was a great day of Test cricket. It started with Gambhir receiving a 1 match ban for making physical contact with Shane Watson. Some say he's hard done by. In truth, Gambhir is lucky he got off so lightly. Have you seen how easily Shane Watson gets injured? If he had tapped Watson just a little harder or hit him in slightly the wrong spot, Gambhir could now be behind bars facing manslaughter charges!

If Gambhir was feeling stung, that was nothing compared to the bee swarm that converged on the pitch, causing the players to cower on the ground. No wonder they say the Delhi smog is so dangerous!

Lastly, it was encouraging to see the Australian batsmen graft out a tough day's cricket. Australia has dominated for so long, it's like they've forgotten how to play Test cricket. Whenever they got in trouble, they simply bullied their way out. Consequently they had no answers in the 2nd Test. Yesterday, it was like they suddenly realised "oh yeah, that's how you bat in a Test match!"

That said, Shane Watson has struck 8 boundaries in his 36 runs so far. Has anyone told him the IPL series has finished? Live score courtesy of Cricinfo.

JC - To be very honest, ICC has three different sets of rulebooks for a)Indian, b) Players from Subcontinent and c) and the rest "Better among the equals"

I have never been Indian supporter, you for one have always come in defence of Indian Batters, whenever I have lambasted them. But these "Fixed" Penalties are Polarizing me the other way round.

"Inert" Referees On table number 6 please !!!
